^^by juniors, I mean rising juniors (class of 22)
Me too.
I’m thinking they accepted pretty much everyone since there will be no on-campus program, so they have nothing to lose by extending “acceptances” to everyone since they get a crap-ton of money from the tuition and are not limited by space virtually.
Is there a single rejection or waitlist here??
only “virtual.”
Yes, I know one who got rejected and one who was waitlisted, but i do think that they’re accepting more people this year. does anyone want to email admissions and ask for stats? but also i think we can see the number of people in the program once the virtual sessions start anyways
Rejection.
Does any rising Junior got in?
Btw do they ask every rejected sophomore to apply the year:(
I think they probably do ask all rejected sophomores to reapply next year. Can you guys post your “stats” (gpa, test scores, ECs, classes, etc) and say whether you got in. I’m curious because I plan to reapply next year and am interested in seeing what helped you guys to get in.
Congrats to the acceptances, and sorry to the R’s–at least you know you aren’t missing out on the actual program!
Super rare for rising Juniors to get in. So far the two R’s here are rising Juniors. Any rising seniors also get WL or R?
Btw all other Wharton summer programs that start before 6/27 got canceled, r they really going to do it virtually??? I mean the labs and stuff, is it possible ?
I got waitlisted. I’m a little disappointed but I just hope that I can do the program somehow, because I was really looking forward to it. Do you know if they even take people off the waitlist? I’m a rising senior btw ;(
Yea i got waitlisted and im a rising senior ;(. Ig i wasn’t good enough, it is humbling though.
ya I feel that. I’m super bummed too. I’m curious, what math are you in right now? I’m in Honors Algebra II and Trig, but I’m wondering if maybe you need to have done at least precalc, which would make sense because most juniors are in precalc.
Rejected rising senior, taking 6 APs right now, with good tests/ECs
Can people who were accepted share stats and extra currriculars
Priority waitlisted as a rising senior
Does anyone know how many students participate each summer? And how many apply?
i believe last year they accepted 75 participants in total, with less than 5 rising Juniors among the 75 participants, and the acceptance rate was about 10%. But in the email, the office told us they receive way more applicants this year than any past years, so I have no idea what’s this year’s stats.
any international student get in?
anyone know how M&TSI stacks up against LaunchX? which would be a better choice and if one is better for college apps than the other?
I’m in bc calculus right now but got priority wait listed so idk how important the math class your in is.
LaunchX is definitely gone down in quality. Look at the reviews on Facebook in the past year or two. Don’t go if you’re paying full. It’s a for-profit company now that it’s migrated out of MIT. Not worth it. (I worked for LaunchX for a bit, terrible organization)
