Format (copy & paste all thing below):
Accepted: Deerfield and Groton
Rejected: Andover
Wait listed: Exeter, SPS, Tabor
Likely Attending: Groton

Stats:
• SSAT/ISEE/TOEFL/PSAT: 87th percentile SSAT - I cannot remember exact stats but i think it was around 94 percentile for reading, 87 for vocab, and 74 for quantitative. Also had a 28 ACT but did not submit for any
• GPA Unweighted/Weighted: 3.95 UW/4.3 W
• Rank: unknown but likely top 10-20 at all my schools
• Other stats: N/A

Subjective:
• Interviews: my Deerfield and Groton interviews were 11/10s, I could tell they really loved the idea of me at their school and I had great conversations with my AOs.
• Essays: 9/10, I spent hours upon hours writing the essays needed to apply to the schools and I’m satisfied with the results in the end, except for deerfield lol. My Deerfield essay was certainly a 4-5.
• Math Rec: I didn’t know her that well, but she knows I’m a hard worker so maybe a 7/10
• English Rec: same with English
• Personal/Extracurricular Rec: I had 2, first from my sailing coach and the other from a neuropsych professor at a nearby university. They were both 8-9/10s since I had a close relationship with them and always tried my best in their class
• Principal/Counselor Rec: same as english and math, especially since I just transferred there. Although I knew her better, so her letter was more likely an 8/10
• Sports (if any): Swimming, Sailing, Skiing
• Instruments (if any): N/A
• Other ECs (if any): I also work a part-time job, and I help my mother with things she needs to do (she’s disabled)
• Hook: FGLI

Location/Person:
• State or Country: Massachusetts
• Current School Type: Public for 10th but private for 8/9
• Ethnicity: White
• Gender: Female
• Grade Applying For: Reclassed 10th
• Age: 15
• Financial Aid/Full Pay: Full Financial Aid

Strengths: extracurriculars

Weaknesses: my ssat and the fact that my family couldn’t afford to pay for anything

Why do you think you were accepted/rejected/waitlisted?

I’d say it’s definitely my weaknesses that did me in during the end, my parents can’t afford to pay anything for these schools and they made that very clear throughout the admissions process. I got a full ride + more at Groton, so i’m happy with what happened in the end

Didn’t really have hooks, sucked at athletics, really competitive hooks. Not compelling enough recs but above average at debate.

Congratulations. Why do you choose Governor’s over George School?
