personally, I believe that the essays and interviews are the most important factor out of everything. I asked my Andover interviewer this, and he quote on quote said, “It doesn’t matter if the applicant won a Nobel Peace Prize, if they aren’t nice, they don’t have a place here. Essays and Interviews are a chance for us to get to know who you really are.”

Wow, I just read your chance me, and your application might be the best one posted on here (I think it’s between you and Yuvi), but your application is stacked (That was a bad choice of words, but I couldn’t think of anything else). I really think you should’ve applied to other competitive schools.

I’m applying to both! I think I prefer Loomis, but I didn’t get to visit either, and that seems to be a pretty important factor
Thank you so much lol I was going to apply to Choate as well but decided I wouldn’t go there if I got in anyways because of the academic pressure, etc. (I have many friends who go there and I’ve been told some stories) Loomis just seems the best to me personally.

I’m not sure if this would help, but I only visited Loomis and it was amazing. A lot of my friends go there and tell me about it, so I know it’s a great place. What really stood out to me though is how confident the tour guides were and all the facilities looked amazing. I looked around in some of the classrooms with classes going on too and it sounded and looked engaging. Students looked happy and interested. Definitely a great school.
Does anyone know what schools have already announced when their decisions come out? I heard it’s usually 8 AM for most schools but i’m sure it changes depending on schools each year.

My daughter applied to Culver Girls Academy, Western Reserve, Shady Side (as a boarding student), Mercersburg, Madeira, and Episcopal. Not necessarily a standard list around here, but she had some specific criteria and themes that led to this list.
