My take is that probably around 40% of the applicants are rejected at the onset, and this figure goes down with the school ranking. Not requiring FA would give more than a “slight” boost, and more so when going down the school endowment ranking, but probably 60-70% of the applicants need some level of FA at HADES, and this figure might also go down with the school ranking. For international applicants, being a mainland Chinese or South Korean applicant would be much much tougher to get into HADES than from other underrepresented countries. Putting your family name on a school building is a guarantee for admission. Nothing scientific here but should be in the ballpark.
