<p>Try Northeastern U in Boston…they have a pretty good Accounting program (I will be applying to it next year, but the combo MS/MBA program)…and of course, excellent co-ops. I think that they offer some grant or scholarship assistance for their top applicants…if you go on the 15 month combo program (MS +MBA that I mentioned before) then it’s a discounted rate anway. hth</p>
<p>edit: ooops, didn’t noticed you said MA in Accounting…Northeastern’s is a MS in Accounting…not sure if that would make much of a diff to you.</p>

Make that two enthusiastic thumbs up. Family member (Ivy UG) went through the accounting MS/MBA. Investigated many programs and chose that one. Loved it and got an RA while in the program. Passed the CPA on the first try. After graduation, went with a Big Four with a sign-on bonus, now with a major corporation on the top-management fast track.</p>

I keep hearing really really good things aobut this program…I am really looking roward to applying to this program…I really like that it’s made for students like me with no experience…last yea they even had a Linguistics major (like myself) and a French major (I’m a minor) in the program…strangely enough, i don’t care for math, but I like it when it’s practical…I did well in Prep for business Calculus and also Applied Statistics…plus, it’s a good skill to have anyway. </p>

<p>I can’t tell from your post if you’re going to be an undergrad or a grad student. I don’t know anything about applying as an undergrad. Relative was a econ major as an UG, only went through the 15-month grad program at NEU. She didn’t apply for fin aid but was offered the RA (for pay) after she started the program. Had a great co-op experience. Not all her classmates were business major undergrads. One classmate in the program had actually gone to the same Ivy UG, but they didn’t know each other before grad school. That classmate went with a Big Four and is still there, loves it.</p>

<p>An RA is a research assistant, as opposed to a TA (teaching assistant or teaching appointment).</p>
