<p>i am looking at pursuing an MA IR. i am currently in the air force and options are limited in my area. the university of oklahoma offers an interdisciplinary MA with an emphasis in IR on my base. the program looks great, with plenty of room to focus on econ or human relations or other areas.
i like the idea of an IR degree and really like the option to foucs on econ (there is no econ grad program in my area).
what good is this degree if i don’t want to work for the government. i’m open to some areas of government work (agriculture, energy, etc…) but i really have no interest in intelligence work or areas like that.
what choices are left for me? my undergrad degree is in technical management, 3.8 GPA and a couple of AAS degrees i earned through the USAF (electronics, and one for teaching).</p>
