I heard there’s some accounting programs that are not available for the Mac book, is this true? Which programs? Should i just go with a pc for convenience?

I’m going to major in accounting, and my University is actually promoting Mac’s. At the accounting meeting at orientation, they told us that there is one assignment in one of the higher-up classes that requires one particular program that wasn’t available for Mac, but that there was a way around it (Microsoft Visio). Not sure if they were talking about a VM, running Boot Camp, or simply a different program. Either way, they didn’t at all discourage getting a Mac. They simply strongly encouraged all students to bring a computer, no matter the brand. (And again, this was the accounting orientation, not the general one)

Of course, all schools are different. I know some accounting programs are exclusive to Windows, but I don’t believe it’ll be all that much of a problem (at my school, at least).
