Sorry. Not an English major as you can tell.

it’s fundamental grammar…not really college level stuff. “seen” is a past participle and has to be used with an auxiliary verb. “saw” is simple past and isn’t used with an auxiliary verb.

ok, i’m done being an *******

I gotta agree with starships here, but hell it’s the internet. We all knew what the guy was trying to say.

^ thank you. I am a girl.

@starships When I type fast, I tend to mix up my past and present tenses. There is no need to nitpick my horribly tremendous writing skills. :)

my linear algebra teacher wears nothing but north face

his favorite is a polo shirt with a zipper instead of buttons

Most people who wear TNF are white. NORTH FACE, get it? Haha. It is a hardcore SWPL product.

OK, Koreans and other upper class Asians also like TNF, perhaps even more than SWPLs, because they have a strange obsession with brand and status.

Proles don’t wear TNF. Purely a premium product.

I bought my laptop for $750. It has a better processor, more ram and much more hard drive space than a $1300 macbook that I saw. I personally refuse to pay twice the price for inadequate specs and an OS that I don’t even particularly like.

SWPL? What’s that acronym stand for?

^^^Stuff white people like

Thank you east 89. I would’ve never guess.

You’re welcome. Remember, if ever in doubt, google is your friend.

^ google! another swpl!

we are a good think tank

who the hell doesn’t like google

Used to own all three but found TNF denali couldn’t even stop a gentle breeze let alone serious wind.

hmm I don’t own any of these but i get why they’re popular

uggs - they look comfy but I prefer the look of sleek leather boots (unless it’s raining, then I simply wear rainboots).

north face - in winter I wear a longer peacoat which hits below the hip and is generally warmer, or a lighter jacket in cooler weather; I have a patagonia fleece but i rarely wear it

mac - just went for a pc since I only use my laptop for hw or going online. I don’t really care about computers and stuff

iphone - I got a blackberry since i have verizon not at&t, plus I already have a nice ipod.

The North Face - I have a North Face jacket (only one I own), and it’s really nice quality. I can’t blame people that own it, especially if they are into hiking/camping/outdoors. It’s really popular in college and high school, but it is top notch stuff.

MacBooks - I don’t own a MacBook, and I’m not a huge Apple fanboy. I own a Lenovo ThinkPad, which was about $1,100 with specs just above that of a MacBook Pro. Although I do think MacBooks are overpriced, they are of awesome build-quality, and I wouldn’t mind owning one. With that said, it’s not Apple that I dislike, but rather the arrogant Apple users that only have bad things to say about Windows products.

iPhone - I own a Blackberry. I used to have a Google G1, but I realized that the battery life on touchscreen computers aren’t really that great, and I’m not all that interested in applications. Also, I always prefer the professional business look, so maybe those are other reasons I own a Blackberry and ThinkPad.

My experiences have been the exact opposite. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a single mac user ‘bagging’ on windows products. On the other hand, I never cease to find pc users that feel the need to justify why they didn’t choose a mac. There are several examples in this thread itself.

It definitely goes both ways, unfortunately.

You must live under a rock. o.O

I have none!

Microsoft Zune - I’m probably the only person on Earth who has one, but I love it more than iPods. Apple really raises its price because of the look/name/popularity that is gained when you get one.
Macbook - Overpriced garbage - I can get a laptop with the same specs now-a-days for about $600 less, and unlike Mac users, I actually know how to manage a computer, so I don’t get viruses.
Then I have a Columbia jacket, which is somewhat like Northface (very warm, gray).
