Machen selected as international delegate

<p>UF President Bernie Machen might be among many Gators packing their bags for a study abroad stint this fall.</p>

<p>Machen accepted an invitation from the Association of American Universities, or AAU, to serve as a delegate to Iran in mid–November.</p>

<p>The AAU works to advance the international standing of U.S. research universities, according to its Web site.</p>

<p>That’s really cool. I’m impressed that he wants to go without any university funding. I hope the trip goes though!</p>
