Any advice on if you should take Macro or Micro Economics first? Bulletin does not really say so wondered if any students had suggestions.

Usually macro is taken first, then micro, but its not critical.

See: [Department of Economics - Economics Major](http://www.coss.fsu.edu/economics/programs/ug/econmajor.shtml)

i think its better but not crucial to take macro first. many of the topics and theories covered in macro, provide you with a good overview of the more detailed material covered in micro.

Also, macro covers a lot of info about government and its role in the economy. could be interesting stuff during the Fall with the presidential election and all that comes along with that.

micro is a great course as well, but its focus is more on the company and individual rather than the government.

good luck

I would not fret if you have to take MICRO before MACRO due to scheduling limitations. Professor Calhoun is very good for both courses.
