<p>I saw that expansion of FIGs was one of the targets in the initiative. As parent of FIG student, I have to say it was great mechanism for my freshman to adjust to UW. About 5-6 of his figmates have become part of his good group of friends, and they were very close studying together and supporting each other during the term. He will miss that connection and shared interest this spring semester. </p>
