I want to start reading higher level magazines and journals in order to improve my vocab skills. I’ve heard The Economist, New Yorker, Reader’s Digest, and the Wall Street Journal are all pretty good. Are there any others I should add onto that list?

bump

If you can read just all of the above, that would be good enough. Not just for vocab but for your English, general knowledge and critical thinking. However if your SAT is next month, it is not going to help much and in that case pickup a list and try to memorize as much as you can.

Scientific American.

Direct Hits for SAT vocab. Those magazines may, I guess, help with the comprehension/critical reading part of the CR sections.

Would The Atlantic help?
