i live in PA and Univ of Penn is less than a hour from me when driving. I have interest in this field, i just finished my 2nd second year at Penn St. University at the Smeal Business School, im a finance major and find it interesting and also doing very well

So i may want to apply to Wharton for the MBA program with finance being my concentration, is this my best route for being a investment trader spefically Goldman Sachs

I was browsing through the forums and it seems you know alot about the topic

Well, an MBA from Wharton essentially translates into a couple of kilos of gold, straight away. You are basically guaranteed a position as an I-Banker - pretty much no one turns a Wharton MBA-grad down.

That is, of course, assuming you’ll get in to the MBA program at Wharton, which isn’t the easiest thing to do.

Currently the server is suffering down time but when its up and running just click on Full employment statistics and you will be taken to the PDF file. And yes whatever snipanlol is right, most guys from wharton will make it to ibanking.

it’s very hard getting into mba programs straight out of college…

work on wall street after you graduate from penn state… finish you analyst program, and then go back to business school… try to get a referral from someone who has went to wharton.

it’s likely that goldman might hire you as an associate… but there will be better opportunities outside of ib… i.e. private equity.
