Agree. It is double the stress with them. For your own mental health, I would say just sit back and wait 45.5 more hours.

It’s so much easier and said than done but waiting is the only solution

To the parents on the thread, have you told your kids about any notifs that you’ve gotten? I got one notification (pre-shipment) but am worried what will happen if I tell my DD about it and she somehow isn’t accepted after all.

Haven’t received any yet, but I’m already set up to and told myself if I saw any, I would not tell DD. She doesn’t know this notif feature exists and from reading here in this forum and from the anxiety I am feeling for her, I’m glad for it.

And sounds like congratulations to your kid!

No. Until I see the contract extended, these are all just “possible rejections” as far as I’m concerned. Also, and it can’t be stated enough: last year we got acceptance packages that never showed up in any tracking app. Just because you don’t see one for you/your kid now, doesn’t mean they aren’t coming. Sunday is going to be a real mix of great and bad news for everybody. Don’t try to speedrun the feelings you think you are going to have this weekend based on what you see in a mail alert today.

No way. I want to see the excitement on my child’s face when she opens the acceptance letter!

I will not tell my DS anything before M10 at 8am. He is excited about the big reveal and I don’t want to ruin the moment for him.

I’m a parent of a previous (,long ago) cycle. No, I wouldn’t share. While it’s unlikely to be wrong, it could be.

I can’t say why, but it’s much easier to give all your accepted schools equal mindshare when you learn of them at the same time. You owe it to yourselves to do that. That’s part of the rationale for a single date. (Groups of colleges do this as well although that’s much more all over the board.)

You can probably breathe a little easier and reassure your kid with a little more conviction, but don’t drag them into the imperfect anxious world of mail notifications!

No. This isn’t my first rodeo, and I’m checking Clarity/USPS/FedEx with the rest of the people who can’t wait another minute, and my husband and I are sharing theories and excitement… but honestly there’s no way to be sure until that “yes” actually arrives. I haven’t told my DD anything, except that she should be managing expectations.

So, I myself ordered something online (printer food for a 3d printer).

And yet, I was STILL duped when I saw the label notif.

It was like when you call your cell from another phone and are still surprised when it rings.

hi guys! did anybody get any notifs from andover yet?

I said I wouldn’t enroll for notifications and would just wait for M10, but I caved! In the past hour I just received two, from the following senders: EASYPOST - XPS and AUCTANE SHIPSTATION. These both seem to be large scale shipping / postal consolidators - hoping that they might be from one of the four schools! I can’t believe I have become this crazy BS stage mom at the 11th hour  Good luck to all!
