<p>technically, CSUs aren’t harder to get into than UCs. CSUs prioritize students from the local area and only have so many spots to fill their quota. a 2k sat or act 30 would be good place to land or possibly higher to offset your gpa. UOP seems to be reasonable with respect to your stats. good luck.</p>

<p>You have admirable EC’s, but I would say UCI/D are reach schools. They really emphasize GPA and SAT scores after that. Not to sound mean or anything, but your GPA isn’t that stellar for those schools. A 1740 SAT also doesn’t really cut it. Your best bet would be get get a score on the ACT that is equivalent to a 2000+ on the SAT. Something else to do is to make sure your personal statements are knockouts. Have many teachers read them.</p>
