Ok so I am doing pre-med, but I am having difficulty of choosing a major. The three I have considered are psychology, neuroscience, and history. I was also thinking computer science.
I need a major that is not going to overwhelm me to the point of I can’t concentrate on pre-med also.

I want a major where I will be able to balance both pre-med and my major, but I need my major to be a back up plan too.

If you major in psychology, neuroscience, or history, you should be able to finish up these requirements with no problem. Computer science is a really cool major, but is pretty time-consuming and can be pretty difficult. If you are worried about being overwhelmed, then CS + premed may be too much, but perhaps maybe not.

Well the pre-med requirements are not bad at all then, thank you for finding that link.

Thank you. I think I have decided on a major now. See my main fear was that I would be overwhelmed, but those classes are not at all that bad for me. See I originally wanted to take architecture, but people got into my head saying I would be completely overwhelmed.

Do you think architecture + pre-med would do that?

I don’t know much about architecture (maybe you should try posting in the architecture forum), but I hear that it is a pretty demanding major. Maybe you can do it, maybe you can’t. As with anything, it depends on how motivated and talented you are at it.

My thoughts: trying to do a professional degree as a backup plan will be difficult. At least for me, it would be hard to stay motivated in the subject when I knew that I would never use it again after my four years were up.
