major change at central campus on the way

Structure 6 will be demolished to build a new conference/hotel that was originally planned on the exisiting Faculty Center… i.e. more inconvenience and congestion in the already crowded central area. There is going to be less and less open space on campus.

[Meyer and Renee Luskin Conference and Guest Center](http://luskinconferencecenter.ucla.edu/)

It’ll be congested while the construction takes place, but I doubt it will increase congestion after that.

Lot 6 isn’t exactly an open area on campus to begin with.

If you’re going to make being anti-construction your agenda, why not find a more effective place for it? I doubt your audience here has much influence.

Lot 6 isn’t an open area, but it’s going to take away a lot of space for students who walk to classes in South Campus.

Is this the result of them just not wanting to demolish the faculty center? If so, then that’s just dumb.

You mean all the people that walk through Lot 6? I mean it’s a nice covered route in the rain, but otherwise what’s the difference?

This is fantastic!

I mean all the walking space that’s going to be taken away after the new construction… such as the walkway between lot 6 and CTO (and between Alumni center and the turnaround).

Please don’t tell me that lot 6 is that shortcut to Royce hall that everyone one uses by taking the stairs in the structure?

No, it’s not.

not to Royce Hall, but to South Campus like Boelter or MS… that’s how I used to walk to my classes from dorm.
