Major in Bus. for IB??

Do you have to major in business for IB? I’d rather major in Computer Science and just get IB internships then break into ib. Is that okay?

I have good news for you:

IBs don’t care what major you do as long as you show some interest in finance/business (i.e. joining a business club or two and interning in a business environment).

Finance maybe? i dont know too much about the whole i banking thing.

Better off doing CS for sure.

on another note, is Berkeley’s IEOR http://www.ieor.berkeley.edu/</a> program looked as as business?

I talked to an Ibanker while I was in NY over the weekend. He was perhaps one of the dumbest people I have ever talked to. Total social invalid.

What’s your point?

Wow, you talked to “an” IBanker over “the weekend.” Your plethora of experience is astounding.

Awww don’t get your feelings hurt pal, I wasn’t talking about you…!

It’s not about that, what is your point?

Engineering is better.

What is your point? You can’t possibly be stupid enough to believe that one person and personality represents the field as a whole?

That ibanker probably majored in engineering.

Looks like engineering prevails…again !!! lol

Engineering always wins on the internet. In real life some people don’t even know what you’re talking about when you say Engineering, and to add insult to injury the effect of capitalizing Engineering as if it’s a proper noun in a sentence doesn’t translate into spoken word.

Accountancy.
