Major in Business (with a concentration in marketing) and Film Studies and minor in PR?

<p>Hi there! I am a prospective college student and current senior! I was just wondering how much heftier of a work load taking on these courses would be than only a major in business and a minor in film. I am extremely interested in marketing or advertising for a film firm and have already interned for a film company here in West Hollywood. </p>

<p>Do these schools offer what I am into/have any of you gone down this path and loved it/hated it?
-USC
-UCLA (possibly)
-UC Berkeley (possibly)
-UNC (reach)
-UPenn (huge reach with like a polevault over the moon)
-Indiana University
-University of Texas at Austin
-NYU</p>

<p>About me:
-4.67 Weighted GPA, 3.86 Unweighted
-By end of Senior year, 8 APs
-Intern for After Dark Films
-Social Media work with emerging in line skating company
-Ambassador for Oxbridge Summer Programs
-Received Presidential Service Award
-Girl Scout of 11 Years (Finished Bronze, Silver and am working on Gold)
-Took course on creative writing and fiction into film at Pembroke College in Oxford during summer 2013
-Select Soccer Team for six years
-Varsity Dance Member at School
-Senior Class Vice President
-Link Crew Leader
-PLUS Leader
-Soccer Coach for U10 Girls team for four years
-Fluent in Dutch and Spanish (in addition to English)
-Plus tons of other volunteer work , president of charity club, caretaker in Costa Rica for two weeks, etc etc</p>

<p>First ACT score was a 29 without prep so I am taking it possibly one or two more times after prep to get at least a 32. </p>

<p>Anyways, my overall questions are

  1. How probable is my acceptance to these schools?
  2. Do the schools that offer what I desire (as stated in the question) offer a workload that wouldn’t squander me as an undergraduate?
  3. Any personal experience with these matters? </p>

<p>My comment will be on the business-film major/minor idea. This is one growing in popularity and my recommendation is to talk with department chairs at the universities to which you are applying to get the low down. I can only speak about LMU, where both of my children are production or animation majors. They could easily add a business minor if interested and I know the university offers a film studies minor for any other major. </p>
