Major in Entrepreneurship. Where will it land me?

Can I get some graduates who majored or focused in entrepreneurship to give what their current job/salary is. I am considering going to Babson because of its strong entrepreneur program but am worried about where you can work with an entrepreneur major/focus. Obviously having my own business(es) would be ideal but it’s not that easy. So, where can you work or who can you work for after studying entrepreneurship?

“Where you can work”?

Seriously, aren’t entrepreneurs supposed to make their own jobs?

What I’ve found is 19 people reporting at http://www.payscale.com/research/US/Degree=Bachelor_of_Arts_%28BA%29%2c_Entrepreneurship/Salary and 26 at http://www.payscale.com/research/US/Degree=Bachelor_of_Science_%28BS_%2f_BSc%29%2c_Entrepreneurship/Salary.

I kind of have to agree with @JustOneDad in this case. First of all, I disagree with the fundamental concept of entrepreneurship majors. But entrepreneurship is about starting your own business. If you want to go work for someone else, why major in entrepreneurship?

Anyway, Babson is a business college, and in their regular BA program they will probably teach you lots of general business. You could probably get the same kind of job a business major could.

@juillet I don’t want to work for someone else but if things don’t work out and I’m not successful in starting my own business I am wondering if I can work somewhere else and how my skills will transfer.

A real entrepreneur should be able to work anywhere. Consider it research into how things are done or not done in different places.

You’d get the same kind of jobs as any other business major would. You’ll probably have a lot of emphasis on management type of courses.
