Major/Minor in 2 different subjects

Is it possible to Major in Biology, and minor in Creative Writing at Princeton? Thank you!

Definitely - you can get a certificate in creative writing no matter what you major in.

One more thing. You have to either convince the bio department to let you do a creative thesis (which I don’t think they’d let you do…) or do a second thesis for creative writing, which would be a good amount of extra work.

“Accepted students seek the permission from their home departments to use the creative thesis to satisfy departmental thesis requirements. For students in the Department of English creative writing track and Comparative Literature Program D approval is routine, and several other departments have welcomed creative theses, but some students undertake the creative thesis as a “second thesis.” Unlike creative writing workshops, which are pass/D/fail, theses receive letter grades.”

Thanks a lot stlkarategal!!! :D

I don’t think Priceton offers minors or double majors, only certificates.

@tigerdad14 - certificates are minors essentially, we just like to come up with our own special names for things, but you are right, princeton does not allow double majors.
