So last December I received an acceptance letter from SFSU however I wasn’t sure what “Individual Major” was until I looked it up online… I will be majoring in English-- and I was wondering if I could change my English major from “Individual Major” to “Literature” or any other English majors???

Also-- if anyone has ever done an individual major what was the experience like?

Most colleges let you change your major, especially if you haven’t even started taking classes yet. It’s only a big deal for those intensive majors that require you to start taking classes Freshman year.

^Exactly. Unless you’ve been accepted to a school separate from the College of Arts and Science (where you will be getting your English degree), it’s not a big deal whatsoever. Colleges know that kids will change their major, often multiple times, before settling on one their second semester sophomore year.
