<p>I heard from my teacher that those who major in marketing at UW end up with “limited career opportunities that don’t pay much.” I was very disturbed to hear this because I’ve been planning to major in marketing at UW. How true is my teacher’s statement?</p>
<p>Probably pretty true. Seatle is not a big center for advertising/marketing and many marketing jobs have been cut at local companies. Also UW placement outside Washington is limited. The pay does tend to be lower.</p>
