Majors and Legacies?

Cornell is deffitnetly in my top choices since its a school I’ve always wanted to go to. I was wondering if their Engeneering and Computer science programs are comparable to lets say Carnage Mellon and maybe a lower version of Stanfords?

Also how much do legacies effect your admission in Cornell?

Thanks

lol really? Our Engineering and Computer Science are probably two of our best programs. Our Engineering is better than Carnegie Mellon’s (at the same level as Stanford) and our Comp Sci is at the same level as Carnegie’s.

Oh thanks for the fast response, I appreciate the opinion thanks!

Regarding the other question concerning legacies, legacy students seem to fare slightly better in the applications process, but otherwise they’re still held to the same rigorous standards of other applicants. If there were a a legacy and a non-legacy of equal qualifications, the legacy would have a slight edge.
