Majors to get into Med School

I am a current Freshman at the University of Florida. I was interested in applying to Duke’s medical school upon graduation and wanted to know if there was any specific major requirement? I’m looking to major in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology, with hopes to venture into Emergency Medicine or Cardiology.

i dont think so as long as you fullfil the premed requirements.

You can major in whatever you want, from biology to psychology to art history. Duke Med School has specific premed requirements like all other med schools - 1 year of bio w/lab, 1 year of gen chem w/lab, 1 year of organic chem w/lab, 1 year of physics/w lab, and a semester of biochemistry. You can learn more about their requirements here: [Admissions Department :: Home](<a href=“Office of M.D. Admissions | Duke University School of Medicine”>http://dukemed.duke.edu/). Good luck!

Ya just follow the pre med track

Thanks for the replies everyone!
