<p>You can easily change your major into Franklin by simply filling out a form, which I think needs your advisor’s signature. If you want to get back into SPIA, all you need to do is go to one of the SPIA major info sessions held throughout the year and then follow a relatively painless process.</p>
<p>At UGA you do not automatically get accepted into your major… Right now you are classified as a Pre-(Your Major Here)… This status will change as soon as you complete the mandatory basic courses with a satisfactory GPA. </p>
<p>At least that is my understanding of their policy on declaring a major.</p>
