…and by “newb,” I am referring to myself.

I’m up against failing three classes if I don’t do extremely well on my finals this week. I’m a transfer student at a community college and have already been accepted to my transfer school- or at least accepted “provisionally” (meaning if they don’t like my final transcript they can take their admission back).

I have found it impossible to get my mind in the place where I can really sit down and process information that it would take to get the grades I need.

Is anyone else in this type of situation? Have you found anything particularly helpful?

A good place to ask might be the College Life section:

I had 3 brothers and one sisters go through college… so Hopefully I can give you some advice. You need to lighten your course load or spread it over time…maybe try to take one summer class, and a winter session. Plus you need to investigate your future class selection and pick them based on previous student reviews. Meaning dont take a class with Professors that have poor grading and shouldn’t be teaching…

Also get your eyes checked for glasses. My brother had a a problem with his vision and he couldn’t concentrate. When I went to visit him I also discovered a beer keg refrigerator and realized half of the problem.

Good luck
