Making a lot of money as a "hook"?

I became an entrepreneur and managed to make around $200k/year with my business plan. It’s not an actual business because I don’t really have an item I’m selling or a brick and mortar place. I am simply providing services. Could this be a big factor if I’m applying to ivy leagues?

not a hook but a good ec or essay topic.
be prepared to get audited with a claim of making 200k a year tho.

A lot will depend on whether or not your “services” are legal, ethical, and/or moral. Porn, drug muling, insider trading, pimping, and taking the ACT/SAT for others are all highly lucrative services, but generally frowned upon by most Ivies. Their alumni are a different story.

I find it hard to believe that you are making $200k /year and don’t grasp that you have an actual business? But that would be very impressive.

Did you end up taking a gap year or something?

Forwarding to the IRS
