making money while in college?

assuming i’ve made a couple thousands dollars (not much, but a good start) from previous jobs/internships, what can i do to make money off it while in college?

invest in something? trade stocks? try something entrepreneural?

any advice is appreciated! :)

It depends on a few things. Are you planning on putting some of your money in a checking account to use regularly? Are you going to want to use any of this money during the year? If not, when do you see yourself wanting to use it? Many of the best ways to get a pretty good return require a time commitment of some sort. You should figure out the length of time you want to go without your money.

One of the easiest and most dependable solutions (and one that requires almost no effort), is to open a CD at your bank. That’s what I started doing years ago with my money, and I still have a CD. You can look at different terms and choose one that’s best for you. The term I’m referring to is how many months the money will be in the CD for before it “matures.” During that time period the money will be gaining interest, and you won’t have access to that money for spending (without a penalty) or withdrawal. Different terms have different interest rates, and they’re always changing. The best rate you’ll probably get from a CD is 5%, which is a pretty reasonable rate of return.

put it in an ING bank account and collect interest of 4.5%. That way your money is there for you and not tied up in case you need it. you can PM me if you want an invite to the account. 25 dollar bonus if you start an account with 250.00
