How do you go about doing it?

Right now I’m decided on purchasing a mattress topper from BBAB -<a href=“Bed Bath & Beyond | The Best Deals Online: Furniture, Bedding, Rugs, Kitchen Essentials & Moree”>Bed Bath & Beyond | The Best Deals Online: Furniture, Bedding, Rugs, Kitchen Essentials & Moree;
And if need be, a memory foam topper or pad or cover? I’m sort of lost on
what to buy but I have a mattress topper here at home and it works for me.

Either a memory foam topper or some other type of mattress topper will do the trick. I bought the Signature Collection 5 Zone Mattress Topper from JCPenney for my D last summer. She seemed very happy with it this year at school. You will notice many of these items go on sale during the summer.

We bought two mattress toppers and stacked them. Easier to wash if necessary, cheaper, and it provided padding and was comfy.

Our older two we got a 2" memory foam topper and a padded mattress pad. They both said that their beds were very comfortable. For our oldest, his college had mattresses that had one side being firm and the other side soft so they could pick which one they liked. He loved that mattress.

S wanted a throw for his bed so that he’d be able to take a nap without getting under the covers. I have high hopes that this means he intends to make his bed everyday!

A nice rug is a good investment .

Even with a memory foam mattress topper, d1 didn’t care for her dorm bed. Next year, she’s requesting no furniture. She’ll bring her futon. Granted, not an option if your child needs to fly to school or can bring along only what fits in the family’s subcompact.

I did two (or was it three?) Was a pain to make the bed though.
