<p>yes and no… typically there are more females going to college… you’ll find that there are more females as opposed to males at any given college… but if you have a 1.0 gpa and a 1400 sat score (new sat)… will u be getting in as oppsed to a female who has a 3.5 gpa with a 1900 SAT score… prob not… but if u had the exact same resume as a female… would guys have the advantage… maybe… just because your a guy… doesn’t mean your getting into AU… a friend of mine (a guy) got rejected with a 1100 sat and a 3.1 gpa… so again you never know…</p>

<p>The implications are simply that more females are attending college today than they did years ago. Applicants often look for a 50/50 ratio of male/female students, but the truth is that a 40/60 ratio is normal.</p>
<p>Obviously, if you’re a guy, your “chances” of meeting more girls are higher. As for AU women, well, they probably have less luck on-campus, but there is a whole CITY of men surrounding the school. Many girls have boyfriends at GW, etc.</p>
