Males majoring in Education?

I am applying to BC and my sister’s old professor (who was affiliated with BC) told me to apply as an education major due to the fact that I am a male, and then just do an internal transfer to A&S. She said that schools are drooling for guys to go into the school of education. Is it really that helpful? I am definitely a strong applicant regardless of prospective major, but could this be a hook?

Or does it just balance out the fact that I am a MA resident, unfortunately.

I think this just balances your MA resident status. They also may see right through that if you have never done anything with kids like work at an after-school program or be a camp counselor

Well I taught Religious Ed for like 5 years, so hopefully that will help a little.

Why the hell do I have to live in Mass. Ugh
