Wilson is said to have gone to Charlottesville for the white supremacist rally.
He sounds mentally ill or drugged out, not really like a terrorist.
Why is it that he gets the “mentally ill” label? If he were Middle Eastern, I doubt that would be brought up.
Because blowing up himself or family is a different act from blowing up an enemy. Blowing up an enemy may be violent but “normal”. Blowing up oneself, family, friends or fellow citizens is deranged. When a middle eastern blows up an American, there’s a chance it’s a hostile act not a deranged one. Not everything is racism.
You can be both a terrorist and mentally ill. In fact, many terrorists are not the most sane people in the world. But if a mentally ill terrorist is brown, he gets called a terrorist, while if he’s white, he gets called mentally ill.
Middle Easterners perform acts of terror in their own countries sometimes. So do white Americans. Both are terrorists. They deserve the same label regardless of ethnicity.
