<p>Well, the Bible says that Esau exchanged his entire inheritance for a “mess of pottage” (a meal of lentil soup). So I suppose that in these modern times it’s only natural that someone would raise the stakes in foolish exchanges to new heights and confess to murder in exchange for a chicken dinner.</p>
