<p>“KTRK Houston reports the man, who is going after Houston’s Strake Jesuit College Preparatory School, thinks his son was rejected because his donation wasn’t high enough. School officials suggested he “give until it hurts,” asking for a $100,000 donation on a piece of paper and telling the man such a donation would gain his son acceptance. The man pledged to give $50,000, and has contributed $40,000 so far.”</p>

<p>The man is donating a respectable amount, considering the annual tuition is just $14,000+. It’s an all boy school with an enrollment of “800-895”. I wonder why they couldn’t just admit the man’s son. It doesn’t feel like a particularly academically rigorous school either. A strange case, if you ask me.</p>

<p>What an interesting story! The dad is an alum of the school and had meetings over five years with school officials about the capital campaign.</p>
