Management consulting possible with CE degree?

<p>I was wondering if its possible to do management consulting even if a person has a CE instead of Econ major. The reason I’m wondering is because if I don’t get a good job as a management consultant, I won’t enjoy another career in biz as much as being a comp engineer. If I’m still planning on getting an MBA no matter what (because if I decide consulting isn’t for me and become an engineer, I’d like to eventually get into management and other executive positions later on anyways), will my undergrad degree matter that much?</p>

<p>I’m currently interning at a management consulting firm and there are a few guys with engineering degrees, so its definitely possible. However, I would make sure to include some writing intensive courses in your undergraduate curriculum. Remember, I’m just telling you what I’ve picked up from personal observation - you should talk to a recruiter for their opinion on engineering degrees.</p>
