I’m a transfer who likes to cook and I’m looking at possibly trying to get a double at Manzanita Village. On the UCSB site it mentions that there are “kitchenettes”. Can anyone provide me with hopefully some pictures of these kitchenettes or at least some more info?

Are there stoves or ovens usable by the students?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but every other house has either the kitchenette or a full kitchen. If you’re in a house with a kitchenette, you can ask your RA for a key to the neighboring house which has a full kitchen (stove & range, etc).

Yea im not sure. I walked into two houses and neither had a kitchenette. But I saw a door that said kitchenette when I went to the Manzanita front desk.

I don’t believe students are allowed to use the kitchenette in De Anza.

I know that Miranda has a full-fledged kitchen, but I haven’t seen all the others. Amenities are pretty scattered throughout Manzanita Village - for example, Tepusquet and Jalama have flat-screen TVs, but Gaviota has a plain old CRT (or it did last year). I think the corner houses, La Cumbre (Rainbow), Pendola (CCS), and Arguello (Women in STEM majors, I think) have larger lounges and things like that, in general.
