This has probably been answered 100s of times but I cant find a good thread to get information from so I may make this decision.
I plan on staying either in Manzanita village or Santa Catalina provided that I get the space.
The “Global Living Experience House” description in Manzanita sounds appealing but I was wondering if freshman are allowed to sign up for this house…same question for the “Multi-cultural expereince floor” in catalina.
Thank you very much:)
ohh and the general pro/con for both residential halls would be GREATLY appreciated.

FT, or called santa catalina is one mile off campus. and it can be loud at night/weekends.
Those are the only cons. the rooms are bigger, the bathrooms are personal(1 for 4 ppl instead of a big restroom for 70 people).

Manzanita is more for upperclassmen. the way the rooms are built kinda makes it more socially dead.

I would opt for any of the other Ki-5 freshman dorms, but I’d say ft > manzanita
