It was the earlier carry that wasn’t called on GT and the bogus carry that WAS called on Vandy that was the problem. But I agree, no way were the officials gonna have that game decided on one of their calls. Too bad it was such an OBVIOUS offense.

Once again, banned to the computer where apparently I have some sort of good luck effect…lol! But I’m watching the score and the play by play online. Lawson is stone cold…why is he still in??? And now Lawson fouls…arrrgh.

aaaarrrrgggghh! (choking)

There, there, ldmom…pats ldmom on the back It happens to the best of us! ;)

LDMom, no need for you to choke. Though I think the same can be said of G’town as for UCLA: funny, teams seem to have bad days against them because of the defense.

I don’t know that UCLA can or will beat Florida but I hope they do, if nothing else because Noah is one of the more classless jerks I’ve seen in the game (not shaking hands with any of the Oregon players, same as he did with UCLA’s point guard last year).

For UCLA it’s been 20 years in the wilderness…we finally have a coach who isn’t ignorant (Lavin) or a slick sleaze (Harrick).

Let’s go Hoyas!!! FINAL FOUR!

What a wonderful day for two of my kids. YD’s BC Eagles have made it to the Frozen Four and S’s Hoyas are bound for the Final Four. Those Hoyas looked unbeatable during overtime. So now, I am humming “For Boston” and shouting “Hoya Saxa”. What a day!

With D at BC we have been humming “For Boston” for years. Nephew and niece at G’town, nephew was at the games this weekend–the party will be continuing all week. 3 out of my four are in the Final Four!

Congrats to tlaktan and all the other Hoyas.

I’d congrat the BC Frozen Four folks (I’ve hummed “For Boston” many a time myself; gotta be one of the all-time great college songs), but the Maine Black Bears are headed there too. I’ll root for both over those mid-Westerners, though.

We can all hum that nifty little song, but I guess a real fan knows all the words to all the verses. Any takers? The BC-Miami hockey game was good today, but too many penalties during the first period, and I was really looking forward to a BC-UNH match up.

Yeah Hoyas! A moment in college hoops history, too- first time a Final Four appearance made for both father and son as coaches, not to mention those Ewings! What a gene pool!

Whatsa Hoya? (my d. says it is Spanish for “jewel” and can be used in referring to the male variety. ;))

http://www.thehoya.com/about/what.cfm

what rocks

Thanks all…what a disappointing day…sigh. When it went to overtime, I knew it was over. The Heels just don’t ‘do’ overtime unfortunately. I could feel the panic straight through the tv screen. It seem like the ball was just repelled by the bucket. GT earned this one… no doubts. (Though they might not have been there to earn it if not for friendly officiating in the Vandy game.) Hansbrough and Lawson were not on at all today. Hansbrough made some telling comments in an interview…said the face was fine, as long as no one touched it. So I think he just wasn’t able to get past his injury mentally.

I’ll be rooting for UCLA vs. Florida too…that Noah kid is just too obnoxious. I could take the silly dancing and arrogance, but after he took a swipe at a cheerleader…well that’s just a no-no. On the GT/OSU side…don’t care who wins that round; but again will be hoping for UCLA to ultimately triumph.

And I’ve not forgotten my Lady Tar Heels. Still trucking along with a decisive win over GW. God Bless the Ladies… ;)

Thanks LDMom. Your Tar Heels played a great game. We were nerve-wracked until we hit overtime. Hansbrough played a great game – we sent him and the rest of the UNC team to the foul line way too many times…

We also mobbed M Street and Pennsylvania Avenue… go figure.

tlaktan~the streets of Georgetown were definitely one big party (even more crowded than Halloween)! Congrats! We enjoyed having season tickets to the G’town games this season, so go get 'em!!

ldmom06~no one at Georgetown uses GT (too many people confuse it with Georgia Tech), so G’town or GU is usually the way they shorten it!

Hoya Saxa!

PackMom got her wish. The winner will be ABC (Anyone but Carolina) . ;)

irish…I’m not from GT or GT, so local rules do not apply. ;)

Gosh too much unfounded Carolina hate for me…lol! Some here act like Carolina has committed a personal transgression.

oh ld – you oughta see what it’s like to be a Duke fan.

Wow, the upper 2%. Show me the merit money…
