<p>No, I specifically remember that it was asking for the 7th number BECAUSE they gave you 88 as the average of the seven numbers. I’m sure about this (93) and I haven’t missed anything else.</p>

<p>The question went something along these lines:</p>
<p>The temperatures at a certain city were measured for 7 days. On the first 6 days, the temperatures were 93, 85, 91, 83, 90, 82. The median of the 7 days was 88. What was the temperature on the 7th day?</p>
<p>If you order the six days you get: 82, 83, 85, 90, 91, 93
If you insert the median you get: 82, 83, 85, 88, 90, 91, 93
93 is the 7TH NUMBER but it is not the 7th day. The 7th day would be the number not mentioned in the first 6 days (i.e. 88).</p>
