<p>So for a short breakdown, i Have a 31 on ACTs,with a 34 in math (math major) . 33 highschool credits and unique extracurrics . (spent two years in a leadership development school). valedictorian/class of 8-- =) </p>
<p>FOr the most part Im pretty sure I can get into alot of schools that are highly acclaimed, or at least to the point where I wouldnt doubt that a manager would know the name of the school on my application…</p>
<p>THEREFORE, I want to go to Marist pretty bad, and I want to major in “applied mathematics”. BUT, Would it be a wise choice to do so considering I have alot of other choices? (well I hope to, and I could always get into a great state school that is well known) Would this benefit me in my future, as far as the schools name and program? Is Marist well known, and for applied mathematics?</p>

<p>Hi, I live very close to Marist. At the moment they are finishing up the new Hancock Center which will be an advanced computer science and applied mathematics building. They are decently selective when it comes to math, but you would get in.
I know for computer science, Marist has a strong ties with nearby IBM and students sometimes get paid internships which would really benefit their future. But I’m unsure about applied math sorry.</p>
<p>Anyways you say you really want to go to Marist badly. Have you visited it? Why do you want to go to it so bad? Is it a really good fit for you or what? Because if you love Marist the most, obviously you should definitely consider it although your right in saying it might not be as well known as some other colleges you choose from.</p>
<p>So do you choose a school because you like it more, or for the prestige?</p>
