Is Marks Hall carpeted? It almost looks carpeted on the virtual tour.
Do people still add a throw rug of their own as a decoration?
How much do people decorate their rooms?
Do most people stack their beds - bunk beds - or leave them down?
What about curtains. . . do people add their own?

Yes, Marks Hall is carpeted. Some people use throw rugs- it’s a good idea to coordinate that with your roommate. People tend to decorate their rooms quite a bit. There is a big poster sail the first week of school where you can get stuff to put in your room. Most people leave the beds down- There were no bunk beds last year on the third floor, and few if any on the second. You don’t really need to bunk them. The curtains that are provided do a good job of blocking the light- most people do not add their own.

Yes, there is wireless internet in Marks Hall. As for other decorations, that is up to the personality of the person. Decorating your room can be a work of art that you work on all semester. There isn’t anything “normal” for that- just think creatively!

Read through the housing contract (It’s online) to see. I don’t remember being specifically told that they weren’t allowed, but I can’t guarantee that.

There is a workout room with treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, a weight machine, and an area where you can practice dance/ballet/yoga etc. There is no community kitchen- those are very rare at USC.
