With Macron, though they met at 15, the claim is that they did not become a ‘romatic’ couple until he was in his late 20’s, that they were friends during that time…no way to validate it, but if she did not have sex with him until he was out of school, it is not the same thing…not sure how I feel about it, but this is not sexual abuse since by the time they had sex or whatnot, he was out of school and college and well over 18.
I don’t understand this at all, to be honest, as a teacher or as an adult while obviously I see a lot of physically attractive younger people, I don’t understand how someone could want to act on it. I am not sure what the attraction is, I don’t think this is like pedophilia per se, seems more like ego to me, that a young, attractive kid could find them attractive shrug…obviously it is wrong on so many levels, I was simply wondering why.

Well…his parents were upset by the relationship and sent him away to a different school for his last year of high school because they were. I’m not saying anything physical happened…but mom and dad thought the relationship was inappropriate.
It was happening almost 25 years ago when I was in high school too. We had s teacher who had to take a “sabbatical” she never returned from because of her inappropriate relationships.
There were inapppriate relationships when I and my sibs were in HS in the 70s as well. It was a male teacher and a male coach and HS girls. ICK!
My husband remembers at least two female teachers who had sex with male students, and one of them married the student (Early 70’s).
My daughter’s classmate became a teacher at our local high school, and made international news for having sex with a freshman. She was in her 20’s and he was in his teens. His parents brought the charges, and I haven’t learned the result.
Back in 1976, the female Spanish teacher at my Catholic high school had an affair with a female friend of mine, and her mother accused her of “turning her daughter gay.” Since she’s currently married to another female classmate, I’d say that I don’t agree with that accusation, but the Spanish teacher taught at our public HS for a while, when my daughter was a student. At the time, I thought she was ancient, but she might have been 22 when I was 15.
My daughter observed several male teacher/ female student inappropriate relationships.
I was oblivious in HS, because I never realized anything was going on. I had crushes on teachers, but thank heavens they were unrequited.
I’m disgusted by comments, as I’ve seen in the case of my daughter’s classmate, where men think that it’s cool that the “hot teacher” bedded this young student.
