Marshall School of Business (Undergrad)

cc411, where you at…

As I said before and others here have repeated, that’s all we really have to go on-
If your stats fall near these, and you have taken most of the hardest classes available at your high school, and have great recs, and have ec’s and essays that show your strengths and passions, and have maintained a continued level of academic achievement in your senior year, you will have a shot.

Your GPA of 3.5 is low but your SAT of 2160 is right in there. Marshall is very selective so that GPA might do you in. If you are lucky, your Math score, your ec’s, and your essays will make the difference but it’s going to be tight.

Good luck.

(If I were you, I wouldn’t ask about it here anymore. Now that you’ve submitted your app, just relax and enjoy your senior year.)

One last question - what are the chance that they are gonna ask for my 1st semester grades?

50/50 chances. My daughter’s friend with GPA and SAT like yours was admitte in early Feb. But she was female applying to engineering school.

Thanks, Columbia.

Also, do you, or does anyone else know the acceptance/rejection waves?

I can’t find the old thread that had the accepted +, accepted -, rejected , rejected - dates

Thanks, Columbia.

It is in the FAQ thread stickied at the top of this forum. See post #10.

Thank you, tocollege.

So, Columbia, did your daughter’s friend receive a merit scholarship?

She got Dean’s scholarship(1/4 tuition) plus excellent financial aid that made it less costly for her to attend USC then commuting to a UC.
