Hi everyone.

I’ve been doing some research and I think that I would like to complete a masters before diving into medical school. The masters program that I am interested in is the Emory Univ SOM Masters in Anesthesiology. I know typically people who do grad work before med school usually focus on research or complete a postbac program. I am thinking that I can complete the masters, then apply to med school and if rejected I can work as anesthesiologist assistant for a year or two (to pay off some debt and save a bit for med school) and work on my re-application. If I get rejected again I can continue working as a aa. People tell me that applying a third time is discouraged by most med schools.

Is this a good idea? Or should I just apply to med schools first and take it from there.
