<p>Well let’s think about the number of federal agencies at which you can work. The Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Department of Commerce (in a number of agencies) The United States Trade Representative , the Federal Reserve, Department of Ag, the State Department … </p>

<p>A person with a masters in econ can work for large financial institutions or as an investment banker. </p>

<p>It all depends on what exactly you study. But generally, unless you do economic history, it should open many lucrative doors.</p>
