masters programs

Does anyone know how a masters program such as masters in human resource development/management is compares in relation to say an MBA in terms of helping you with a corporate management role? I really like the talent management part and training aspects of the HR program and it is more in depth and concentrated then just a standard MBA program which is more well rounded. The classes really intrigue me and I liked the HR courses I took in college. There are some schools that have an HR concentration within their MBA program so that may be an option as well. That being said, I have no desire to work in HR so this might be the wrong program. I just think those courses are relevant to what I’d ideally like to do. I work in IT so I could also do a masters in something like information systems or a MBA with a concentration in that… but I’m not sure. Ideally I’d like to be a team leader in IT managing a group of people so I think the HR courses would really play well to this - but I can’t make up my mind as I’m looking into schools and programs.

Any thoughts?
