What do you hope to do when you graduate with an undergrad degree in psychology? Where do you plan to work…and doing what?

How much financial aid do you need?

So the good news is Psychology is a core subject and almost all good general, non-tech, colleges in the US will have a good Psych department.

The bad news is getting financial aid as an International is basically always some form of merit scholarship, meaning budgets for International aid are always limited and you will have to beat out many other well-qualified Internationals who would also like to get that aid. Even when it is technically need aid, either the college is need aware for Internationals–meaning it will take into account your need status when deciding whether or not to admit you, and only admit the higher need Internationals it really wants–or it is one of the very few need blind/meets need for Internationals US colleges, which are all so hard for Internationals to get admitted to it might as well be a competitive merit scholarship.

I am pointing all this out because given that situation, it is impossible to really know where you should be applying without some sense of how your academic qualifications are going to compare to other International applicants, including ideally similar schools in Egypt. Because your grades and ACT score are going to determine where you will be sufficiently qualified to have a realistic chance of admission with significant aid.

thank you for these suggestions!! however, after researching they both seem to be all girls schools which im not looking for. do u have any other suggestions that arent all girls??

im aiming to be a therapist/clinical psychologist, im not sure where i want to work exactly yet, and as for financial aid basically as much as i can get :sob:

Literally every college in the US offers a psych major.

  1. What do you want in a college experience? The colleges on your list have very different attributes.
  2. And very importantly, what is your family budget?

To do this here, you will need at least a masters degree and more likely a doctorate. And you will need to be licensed. I’m not sure how easy this process is for an international student.

For coeducational ideas, look into Vassar and Bates.
