:grinning_face: Hi, I’ve been thinking about boarding school for a couple years. Last year, I almost applied. But due to some (pardon my language) ■■■■-ups + my parents’ reluctance, I didn’t manage to attend. Now, I’m thinking about it again. Please let me know what schools could match with my resume (attached below) and what my chances would be for those schools. I’m passionate about writing + the arts, language learning, public education reform, politics & servant leadership as well as public speaking and tutoring.

ALSO, I’m not a nepo baby nor a minority but I would be applying for full fin aid. The range of schools I could go to is from east to west NYC to St. Louis and north to south Detroit to Atlanta. I’m aiming for quite prestigious schools.

Full FA is available at many school and always more challenging, so you’ll want to be sure to apply to schools that are a real fit. George School ¶ and Westtown ¶ are both Friends schools with a commitment to social justice so could be good ones to look at. If you like the way academics are set up at George, you might also like Cambridge School of Weston. Mercersberg is generous with FA. All of these are a bit less well known, so that could help. You’ll be well served by casting a somewhat wider net given your need.

I have a few questions, First, what are your SSAT or ISEE scores. Second, you mentioned that you needed a full ride scholarship? Finally, how would you plan to continue tutoring with a limited amount of time at BS?

  2. I need it all paid for. The specific method this comes in is irrelevant.
  3. Zoom is great + weekends work. I manage fine right now… living at school will probably make me manage HW time better.

Thank you! Well, my specific needs are sort of listed above. I don’t want to give away my location but I’d like something fairly well within the boundaries I’ve suggested. I really like Asheville school. I’d also like a place where social networking is abundant. I want to go into academia or politics so getting to know more powerful people is sort of key to this whole thing. Above all, just an environment that I would like (based on my snapshot I gave above).

dont you think you should search up schools on google and start using niche just fill your categories with most prestigious schools with the best speech and debate or arts programs and when comes to aid don’t got Google or even the schools website the best is to email admissions or FA and they’ll tell you what you need
