bumping…

Price limit? International students should not expect much (if anything) in the way of financial aid.

estimated around 20k tuition, might break the bank to 30k if the college is a very good match

$20,000 tuition only, or $20,000 all-in including books, room, board, and miscellaneous expenses? Those other costs can range from $10,000 to $18,000 per year, depending on how expensive an area the school is in.

If it is $20,000 all-in per year, South Dakota State University has a list price less than that.

Try SUNY Maritime, CUNY schools are also cheap and good. NMexico Tech, SD Mines, Missouri Mines,

Iowa state is very good for you and since you would qualify for merit, very cheap as well

^^^

You need to find out if ISU’s merit is available to int’ls…and if so, how much.

If you apply to Alabama now, you’d get a free tuition scholarship. As an eng’g major, you’d still get $2500 per year as well. Your remaining costs would be affordable.

The app is easy. You’d also have to submit the scholarship app, which is also easy.

There are a few colleges that have both excellent financial aid for international students and excellent engineering programs. Examples include MIT and Princeton. Note that both schools are quite selective. MIT says they get over 4000 international apps for 150 spots.
